The Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute seeks to prepare lay men and women for ministry in their parish. Sponsored and run by our diocese, the program is far more than a workshop or two. It begins with a Year of Discernment – seven all-day Saturday sessions(one per month September through March) and one Day of Reflection in April. That time introduce participants to the basic theology of the Catholic Church and the Christian’s personal call to maturity, holiness, community, and ministry. It also allows the person to discern whether to continue in the full program – a multi-year program of study and ministry.
