New Year’s Resolutions?

Switch to Online Giving

That may sound intimidating to some, but it is a terrific way to be a good steward of your money. Online giving forces you to decide how much you are called to give, and it provides a simple way to make it happen. Go to sacredheartpinellaspark.com and click on the “giving” icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Next you’ll see the main page of our online processing vendor (Our Sunday Visitor). The page is simple to navigate and it is easy to have your gift automatically given each week or month. As a bonus, you will not have to fill out and remember your envelopes! The office would be happy to help you get this set up and explain more about the advantages for both you and the parish. Call us!

Finish Your Sacraments!

Perhaps you are one of those who, for some reason, “missed” your confirmation. It is not too late to receive this sacrament. Call the office and let us see what needs to be done. It may be easier than you think! Or, if you or someone you know would like to explore joining the Catholic Church, give us a call (727-541-447). We’ll set up a time to meet (virtually or in person) to talk about your situation and help you discern the next steps.

Join a New Group!

Our Life Ministry group is sponsoring an opportunity to view the popular video series The Chosen. See the life of Christ presented in these video segments then participate (or just listen!) in a discussion that follows. The group begins this Thursday, Jan. 5th, at 6:30pm and will continue each Thursday with occasional alterations.

Stay Connected to Bishop Parkes

Each week Bishop Parkes hosts Take Five: Conversations on Faith and Life. The segments are about five minutes in length and, so far, have included a mother of 5 and the chaplain to the Tampa Bay Bucs. New video segments can be seen each Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. on the bishop’s Facebook and Instagram (@BishopParkes) accounts, the diocesan YouTube channel (@DioStPete) and our diocesan website.
